The Doll House
The Doll House is a cozy, two-level cottage conjoined to her sister, Halcyon. Converted from and old boat barn, the Doll House features wide pine floors downstairs with ample seating, an intimate atmosphere, and simple elegance. The gas stove helps take the chill off the evenings, and the sounds of the ocean sing you to sleep.
Upstairs you’ll find the kitchenette and dining area, and a much more rustic feel. Artists such as George Bellows painted in this space when it was still an artists’ loft, and we’ve never been willing to close off the open studs or refinish the floor, thereby hiding the blue-green evidence of their time here on the island.
The main bedroom is freshly painted and faces east to receive the beautiful morning sun. A daybed off the dining area provides additional sleeping space, and the Cornflower Room is sometimes available for annexation to the Doll House for even more room.
Located on a hill, the property features views of the ocean and village.
